The FHSECO members are actively restoring our 1877 Little White Schoolhouse! Grants were awarded through the last several years from the Robert Hoag Rawlings Foundation and the Jonathan and Shari Fox Foundation. We have included pictures below.

2023 Robert Hoag Rawlings Grant
Painting/scraping done by Cindy Abert, Jason Gonzales and crew, water lines installation by City of Rocky Ford, Dustin Bryan and Steve Carlile, Furnace/AC installed by Kelly Howe, basement South wall restored by Jack Barker's crew.
The Jackie Moore Cabin has been moved to the Little White Schoolhouse backyard at 407 North 12th Street in Rocky Ford.
2026 Jonathan & Shari Fox Foundation Grant
The Jackie Moore Cabin moved by Dustin Bryan, Steve Carlile, Jeanette Myers, Floyd Myers, Tom Case, Zak Gardner, Scott Davignon, John Garcia, Kirk Virden, Jason Gonzales, Tom Smith, Julian Maes-Kiefer, Edward Maes, and help from the City of Rocky Ford.

2025 Robert Hoag Rawlings Grant

The Chimney was repaired by Clay Hammond!
The FHSECO applied for and was awarded a $25,000 grant from the Bob & Doris Johnston Foundation and a $2,000 grant from the Jonathan and Shari Fox Foundation for the 1909 White Rock Schoolhouse! We have included pictures below of the much needed repairs, click on the PDF box below to see more. The repairs will start the third week of July 2026! Updates will be posted here.
SAVE THE DATE: A Grand Re-Opening will follow at this years 30th Annual Oyster Fry on the last Saturday in September 26, 2026.
